The Treasury Department has referred its investigation of Halliburton to the Justice Department.

This is not the story of price gouging in Iraq.

No, this is about how while Dick Cheney was at the helm of the company, Halliburton was using one of its tax haven companies based in the Cayman Islands to do business with Iran.  Of course, US law explicitly prohibits doing business with Iran and other sponsors of terrorism. I guess these people will do anything for a buck, even if means generating cash for terrorism and jeapordizing our national security.

My question is: Why isn't this front page news? Do you think someone could someone please ask Dick Cheney about his support of a terrorist regime during the debates? Just because the subsidiary is based in the Cayman Islands does not make it legal to violate US laws. And, it definitely does not mean that Dick Cheney, as CEO, should not have stepped in and stopped the subsidiary from doing business with the terrorists. Do these people have any morals at all?
